COLOSTRUM BEGINS WITH THE FIRST MILK

Goat colostrum comes from the first milk produced by goats shortly after giving birth. When reading about it online, you will often see discussions about the ethics of its collection, particularly whether it is taken from goats rather than given to their kids.

At Betula, we are deeply committed to the 100% ethical collection of goat colostrum. We work with farmers who collect colostrum with great care for the animals, such as Mr. Kamil Šedivý from Farma Člupy near Bučovice. “We provide Betula only with surplus goat colostrum, meaning only what the kids themselves do not drink,” he adds.

WE WORK WITH MORE THAN 300 FARMS

We collect colostrum from more than 300 farmers in the Czech Republic, Slovakia, and Poland. In doing so, we help farmers make meaningful and environmentally responsible use of the surplus that kids would not consume.

At our facility, we safely store the colostrum in freezer units, and every sample is tested by the National Institute of Public Health in Ostrava, the Czech Republic.

WE USE THE MOST GENTLE DRYING METHOD

The frozen and tested colostrum is then lyophilized (freeze-dried) for 36 hours.

Did you know that in a single batch of Betula goat colostrum, we blend colostrum from as many as 20 different farms? This is because each farm raises its goats under different grazing conditions. That is why, in every capsule, we want to offer you the very best that nature provides.
